Don't miss Maman’em, starring Cliff Thompson, is ‘an evening of songs for mama and the people we love best.’ Along with music director, Sandy Starcher, Thompson has found songs and stories that speak to the universality of mother and child relationships. Inspired by his mother’s passing in December, Thompson hopes he can help others find joy and strength amidst the sadness of loss. “I just couldn’t think of a better way to honor mom and also make something positive out of a potentially painful Mother’s Day.” Maman’em will be presented at Center Stage in Biloxi and all profits will benefit the theatre. Thompson’s appearance in 1997’s Forever Plaid there remains a favorite theatrical experience and he is glad for this opportunity to give back. The production will be presented Saturday, May 12 at 7:00pm and Sunday, May 13, Mother’s Day, at 2:00pm with a champagne toast and reception immediately following.
