The Belle of Amherst

by William Luce

Based on the life and poems of Emily Dickinson, The Belle of Amherst is an inspiring biographical portrait of a famous and eccentric spinster who is one of America's greatest literary figures. With a wicked sense of humor, Emily tweaks Victorian pretensions, performs deadpan impressions of the people around her and mocks her own idiosyncrasies.

Kennedy Miazza White first acted in this one-woman show when she was a senior at Coast Episcopal High School and since then has performed the play over thirty times across the Southeast, winning numerous awards.
