Youth Theatre

Center Stage Theatre is committed to helping young people learn and grow as performers and creators; and to instill in all young people an appreciation for the performing arts that can be carried with them into adulthood. We accomplish this by offering several youth programs at Center Stage.

Our Acting Anonymous program is a teen troupe that began in 2001 and offers teenage children the opportunity to learn about the Arts while participating in local shows and festivals. Visit our Acting Anonymous page for more details.

During the summer, Center Stage offers a summer theatre workshop called Stage Stars. Stage Stars is a unique, fun-filled opportunity for youngsters to learn about all aspects of theatre as well as become more comfortable speaking and performing in front of others. While learning through fun games and exercises, our Stage Stars are given auditioning tips and techniques, introductions to make-up and set construction, and coached in monologue and scene work.

Immediately following the summer Stage Stars theatre workshop, Center Stage produces our summer children's fundraiser. Productions in the past have included: Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Little Women and more. The children's fundraiser offers the opportunity for children of all ages to get on stage and become part of the show.
